Theatre for Middle Schoolers is a comprehensive performing arts camp that introduces students to all aspects of theatrical production. This morning program covers acting techniques, voice projection and diction, movement and stage presence, improvisation, character development, script analysis, stagecraft basics, and ensemble work. Through theater games, exercises, scene work, and rehearsals, students will develop confidence, creativity, and collaboration skills. The camp culminates in a final performance for family and friends, giving students the opportunity to showcase what they've learned. Experienced theater instructors guide students through the creative process, from initial read-throughs to final performance. Students will explore different theatrical styles, learn about theater history, and gain appreciation for the collaborative nature of live performance. The supportive environment encourages students to take risks, express themselves, and discover their unique theatrical voice. No prior theater experience is required—just enthusiasm and willingness to participate. This camp is perfect for students interested in acting, performing, or exploring the dramatic arts.
