STEAM Junior - K is a specially designed program that introduces Kindergarten students to STEAM concepts through age-appropriate, hands-on activities. This afternoon camp uses play-based learning to explore basic science, technology, engineering, art, and math concepts in ways that are engaging and accessible for five-year-olds. Activities include building projects with blocks, LEGO, and other manipulatives, exploring colors, shapes, and patterns through art, conducting safe science experiments like mixing colors and observing nature, learning about numbers, counting, and simple math concepts, exploring cause and effect through simple machines, and engaging in sensory and creative activities. Each day features a different STEAM theme with multiple activities that allow children to explore, create, and discover. The program emphasizes process over product, encouraging curiosity, creativity, problem-solving, and collaboration. Experienced early childhood educators guide students through activities while allowing plenty of time for free exploration and play. The camp helps develop fine motor skills, social skills, and early academic concepts in a fun, supportive environment. This camp is perfect for kindergarteners who love to explore, create, and learn through hands-on discovery.
