Rock Five Level One is safe, professionally-guided, skill building top rope climbing and bouldering for beginning climbers in grades 3-6 and 7-12. This camp gives new climbers a full five days of learning beginning climbing skills from AMGA certified Single Pitch Instructors at Ring Mountain and in the Berkeley Hills, Mickey's Beach, Sunset Boulders & Castle Rock, the Bay Area's most popular climbing areas. This is a mixed age group of no more than 10 climbers. If your kiddo has never climbed before or only climbed in the gym, this is the camp for them! Climbers will be evaluated on the first day of camp and moved into the group that is the best fit for their skill level. The highest quality climbing instructors available in the industry come from all over the country to work with Marin GreenPlay Camp. Van transportation is provided to all climbing locations, departing from Harrison Skate Park at Mill Valley Middle School. The camp runs from 9 AM to 5 PM to allow for full days at the climbing areas. This is an excellent introduction to outdoor rock climbing in a safe, supportive environment with expert instruction.
