Dive deep into color relationships and abstract composition in this four-week May intensive. Students will explore color theory, color mixing, creating harmonies and contrasts, and using color expressively. The workshop covers various approaches to abstraction from geometric to gestural, and how color drives composition in non-representational work. Participants will create multiple abstract paintings, experimenting with different color strategies and compositional approaches. The intensive format allows for substantial exploration and development of a cohesive body of work. Work in acrylic or oil.
