Little Maker is a brand new full-day camp for PreK-K students (ages 4-5) that introduces young children to the exciting world of making and creating. Running from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, this camp provides a hands-on maker space experience where children explore art, engineering, and creativity. Campers will work with various materials including cardboard, fabric, recyclables, simple circuits, and craft supplies to design and build their own creations. The camp introduces basic maker concepts like design thinking, problem-solving, and iteration through age-appropriate projects. Children will create art projects, build simple machines, explore basic circuits with LED lights, and use their imagination to invent new things. Activities include cardboard construction, fabric crafts, painting, simple woodworking (with safe tools), and collaborative building projects. This camp fosters creativity, fine motor skills, spatial reasoning, and confidence while encouraging children to see themselves as inventors and creators.
