About this camp

This essential 2-hour class guides you through the world of commercial sewing patterns. Learn how to read pattern instructions, understand suggested fabrics, take accurate body measurements, calculate fabric yardage, and choose the right pattern size. This class can be taken as a standalone workshop or serves as a required prerequisite for Adult Beginner Level 2 classes. Understanding patterns is fundamental to successful garment sewing, and this class demystifies the process. You'll gain confidence in selecting patterns, choosing appropriate fabrics, and understanding all the information provided in commercial pattern envelopes and instruction sheets.

Questions parents ask

What is the cancellation policy?

If you need to cancel for a class, you must give us at least one week's notice. If we are notified one week or before of the class start date then we will either reimburse you for your tuition or you can use your payment towards another class. If we are notified in less than a week's time then we will not be able to provide a refund.

What if the class doesn't have enough students?

All group adult classes must have a minimum of 4 students to be held. You will be notified one week prior to the class start date if the class must be cancelled. In the case of a cancellation you may use your payment towards Sew Fun credit or you may receive a full refund for your class.
