Classic Day Camp at Camp Timber Ridge offers the perfect introduction to Girl Scout camp for younger children or those not quite ready for an overnight experience. This five-day program runs Monday through Friday, with campers arriving each morning and heading home each evening. Days are packed with traditional camp activities including swimming in the pool, arts and crafts, STEM activities in the Design Lab, outdoor exploration, challenge course adventures, canoeing and kayaking, archery, and more. Campers are grouped by age and participate in a rotating schedule of activities, ensuring they experience a wide variety of camp offerings throughout the week. The program emphasizes trying new things, building confidence, making friends, and having fun in the outdoors. Caring counselors guide campers through their day, providing support and encouragement as they tackle new challenges. Classic Day Camp includes all the magic of summer camp—campfire songs, outdoor games, nature exploration, and lasting friendships—while allowing campers to sleep in their own beds each night. It's the perfect way to experience Girl Scout camp and build readiness for future overnight adventures.
