Painting Explorations introduces children ages 9-12 to fundamental painting techniques and color theory. This multi-week class explores various painting media including watercolor, acrylic, and tempera through hands-on projects inspired by the museum's collection. Students learn color mixing, brush techniques, composition, and how to express ideas through paint. Each session includes gallery visits to study paintings by master artists and contemporary painters. The class builds technical skills, creative confidence, and visual literacy while fostering individual artistic voice and style.
