The Girls Link Up Braids, Business & Beyond Winter Break Camp is a five-day intensive mini-camp designed for middle school and high school girls ages 11-17. The program leverages the popular and culturally significant skill of hair braiding as a vehicle to teach key entrepreneurship skills and STEAM concepts. Beyond mastering new braiding techniques, girls participate in hands-on STEAM workshops focused on developing real-world business skills. The camp features themed days including Magical Makers, Techie Treasure Hunt, Whimsical Wellness, Bold Builders, and Fun Friday Field Trip. Each day combines braiding instruction with entrepreneurship education, SEL (Social-Emotional Learning) sessions, creative projects, and problem-solving challenges. The program empowers girls to see themselves as future business owners and leaders in innovative fields while building confidence, self-expression, and emotional wellness.
