Technical Theatre Programs provide comprehensive training in the behind-the-scenes aspects of theatre production for students in 3rd through 12th grade. The Designer's Process gives budding designers an opportunity to work on their skills as a scenic designer, costume designer, and atmospheric designer (lighting/sound/etc). The course is divided into three units over twelve weeks with a rotation of teaching artists, with each discipline rotating every four weeks while designers work on making creative choices around one consistent script. The Puppeteer's Process is a brand new technical theatre class where students gain hands-on skills in both the construction of puppets and their implementation on the stage, learning how to create characters from shapes, buzz words, and texture while working as a group to bring a story to life. Classes are offered in 12-week and 4-week formats.
