This high-energy Broadway Intensive is designed for aspiring performers who want to dive deep into musical theater. Participants will prepare songs from The Great Gatsby, Hairspray, and Mamma Mia, engaging in exercises focusing on vocal technique, dance choreography, and acting through song. Students will work with professional instructors Daniel and Katie Johannesson, developing essential skills in singing, acting, and dancing. The camp includes video auditions for solo opportunities, with callbacks on June 6th for select campers. Lead roles will be announced on the first day of camp. The week culminates in two final performances showcasing participants' growth and confidence. A dance background is strongly recommended as many performances involve choreography. An optional tap component is available for students who bring tap shoes.
