Club 420 Mini-Camps offer three consecutive half-day sessions for sailors ages 11-17 who are ready to move beyond single-handed dinghies. Sailing in pairs in the club's fleet of Club 420s, participants learn double-handed boat handling, teamwork, sail trim, and basic racing strategy. These camps run from late June through early August and provide an excellent introduction to crewed sailing for older beginners as well as skill development for experienced sailors. Classes run from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM and include breaks for snacks and hydration. No boat ownership required—FBYC provides all Club 420s. Set in the beautiful waters of Fishing Bay, sailors also enjoy swimming, exploring, and the rustic, unplugged environment that makes FBYC unique. This program is perfect for sailors who have outgrown Optimists or older beginners looking to learn sailing in a larger, more dynamic boat.
