RDS Training Sessions provide weekly 90-minute training opportunities for players accepted into Atlanta United's Regional Development School program. These sessions are held at various locations surrounding the Metro Atlanta area and run seasonally (Fall: 8 weeks, Winter I: 6 weeks, Winter II: 6 weeks, Spring: 8 weeks). Led by professionally licensed Atlanta United coaches, the sessions focus on individual player development with technical skill work, tactical understanding, and competitive game situations. Players work in small groups appropriate to their age and ability level, with curriculum designed around the development of competitive and advanced level soccer players. Select locations include dedicated goalkeeper training, where goalkeepers train in small groups with a dedicated goalkeeper coach for an hour before joining field groups for scrimmages. All players who attend at least 50% of sessions receive detailed player evaluations with actionable feedback for continued development.
Eight weeks of weekly 90-minute training sessions during the fall season. Players work on technical skills, tactical understanding, and competitive play in small group settings with professionally licensed coaches.
Six weeks of weekly 90-minute training sessions during the second winter session. Continued focus on player development and game understanding.
Six weeks of weekly 90-minute training sessions during the first winter session. Focus on individual development and technical proficiency in a competitive training environment.
Eight weeks of weekly 90-minute training sessions during the spring season. Players refine technical skills and tactical awareness in preparation for their club seasons.
