Coding with Roblox introduces grades 4-7 students to game design and programming through the popular Roblox platform. Young developers will learn Lua programming language, game design principles, and 3D modeling as they create their own playable Roblox games. Campers will explore coding concepts like variables, loops, conditionals, and functions while building interactive game elements, designing levels, and creating game mechanics. Each day features hands-on coding sessions, design challenges, and collaborative projects that develop computational thinking and problem-solving skills. Students will learn to script character movements, create obstacles, design user interfaces, and implement game logic. The week culminates in a game showcase where campers present their creations and play each other's games. This camp is perfect for Roblox fans who want to move from playing games to creating them.
