Tidewater Recreational GO Hockey for 4th and 5th Grade provides upper elementary students with an introduction to field hockey or an opportunity to play as an extra-curricular activity. This program uses a larger, softer GO Ball and plays 4v4 on a smaller field to maximize touches and engagement. Sessions include 15-minute warm-up, 15-30 minutes of skills and learning games, and 30-45 minutes of scrimmage play. The program focuses on skill development, game understanding, and having fun in a supportive environment. Shin guards (soccer or field hockey) and tennis shoes are required. Sticks are optional as they are available to borrow. Mouth guards are suggested but not required. Sessions are held outdoors on Sundays.
Parent drop-off and pick-up at Tucker High School or Tuckahoe Middle School
