Old Growth camp is designed for participants 12-16 years old. This camp is an amazing deal! Your kids will get a sampling of what Riverside Camps has to offer – rappelling, whitewater rafting through the city's biggest rapids, unique tree climbing elements, and exploring the urban forest are just some of the experiences your kids can expect from this camp. We will also go further in depth with wilderness discovery, including tree identification and river hydrology. All this excitement is rounded out with field games and good old fashioned fun! These activities can be relatively strenuous and require a moderate level of physical fitness. Our goal is to create a passion for adventure, stewardship for the environment, and a higher level of self-efficacy. This is an experience that participants will be proud of and remember. Although we love to see graduating Oak campers in Old Growth, previous experience is not required. Old Growth will be from 9:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M., with a flexible pickup window between 3:30 and 4:00.
