Critter Camp Counselor positions offer meaningful summer employment opportunities for individuals passionate about animals and working with children. Counselors play a vital role in delivering the Richmond SPCA's Compassion Unleashed Critter Camp program, leading activities, supervising campers, and facilitating daily animal interactions. These positions provide valuable experience in youth education, animal welfare, and program leadership. Counselors work directly with children ages 6-13, creating a safe, fun, and educational environment where campers can learn about animal care and develop compassion for animals. The role requires enthusiasm, responsibility, and a genuine love for both animals and teaching. Recruitment for Summer 2026 positions begins in January 2026. Interested candidates are encouraged to complete the interest form to be contacted when positions are posted. This is an excellent opportunity for high school students, college students, or young adults seeking meaningful summer employment that makes a difference in the lives of children and animals.
