Jr. Meteorologist is an exciting weather science camp for students in grades 1-3 who are fascinated by storms, clouds, and weather patterns. This hands-on camp introduces young scientists to meteorology through experiments, observations, and weather forecasting activities. Campers will learn about different types of clouds, how weather systems form, what causes rain and snow, and how meteorologists predict the weather. Students will build weather instruments like barometers, anemometers, and rain gauges, then use them to collect real weather data. The camp explores topics including the water cycle, air pressure, temperature, humidity, wind patterns, and severe weather. Through interactive demonstrations, campers will create tornadoes in bottles, make clouds, and simulate weather phenomena. Students will learn to read weather maps, understand weather symbols, and make their own weather forecasts. This camp combines outdoor observation with indoor experiments to provide a comprehensive introduction to atmospheric science.
