Youth Band is for players ages 11-17 who already have some experience on their instrument or voice and want to gain experience playing with others in a band. Work with our professional teachers on keeping good time, memorizing chords, playing in balance with others and rocking out! Advanced skills are not required, parts will be customized to the player's ability, but they should have the very basics of their instrument under their belt (typically one year or more). This camp runs from 9am-12pm and focuses on ensemble playing, timing, balance, and collaboration. Students learn to work together as a cohesive unit while developing their individual musicianship. If you have any questions about qualifying, contact the club to discuss your child's readiness.
