Get inspired by the vibrant works of French artist Henri Matisse and the beautiful Mexican tradition of papel picado! In this camp, you'll discover the amazing things you can create with just paper, scissors, and glue. Campers will improve their cutting skills as they design intricate patterns and detailed pictures, exploring how simple materials can become stunning art. You'll learn the full art of papermaking from scratch, experiment with printing techniques to create your own handmade book, and transform paper into three-dimensional sculptures through the magic of papier-mâché. From colorful cut-outs to textured creations, every project celebrates the versatility and beauty of paper as an artistic medium. Get ready to cut, paste, sculpt, and create!
