Do you have a sewing project that you want to start or are you in need of help understanding what's next? Private lessons are catered to the student individually. If you have a specific project, skill, or problem in mind and want a one-on-one lesson, this is perfect for you. You are welcome to schedule this as a semi-private lesson as well. Ms. Peggy is an excellent and very skilled seamstress with a wealth of knowledge to share. She has a bachelor's degree in Clothing and Textiles with minors in Theater Costumes and Business. She has done custom sewing and fitting of garments, formal dresses, costumes, and coats. Note: One private lesson is necessary to assess skills if you'd like to be placed in an Advanced Beginner class without Prerequisites.

What is the cancellation policy for private lessons?: If an appointment is cancelled with less than 24 hours or you do not show up for your private lesson, you will be charged a cancellation fee of $30. This does not apply to group classes.; Source: Children Classes page

Things to know

Requirements

Ages 8-16 for children's classes
Prerequisite: Using Sewing Patterns Class required before Level 2 adult classes
Prerequisites: Levels 1, 2, 3 and 4 plus Using Sewing Patterns required for Level 5
Fabric must be purchased and washed before first class for Level 2
Sewing machine in good working order (for private lessons, if not using studio machines)
Background check certification for all instructors teaching children
