Music & Songwriting Intensive at Sabot School offers rising 6th through 8th grade students a full-day immersive experience in advanced music creation and songwriting. This specialty camp guides middle school musicians through the complete process of writing, composing, arranging, and performing original songs, exploring complex musical concepts including melody, harmony, lyrics, rhythm, and musical expression. Campers develop their unique artistic voices while learning music theory, experimenting with various instruments and digital tools, and refining their technical skills. Through both collaborative and individual projects, participants gain confidence in musical performance, creative expression, and the craft of songwriting. The camp provides a supportive environment for students to take creative risks, receive constructive feedback, and share their work with peers. By the end of the week, campers will have created polished original compositions and gained valuable experience in the professional songwriting process.
