Classic Mini Camp - Cabin at Camp Timber Ridge offers younger Girl Scouts in grades 2-3 a perfect introduction to sleepaway camp in the comfort of air-conditioned cabins. This shortened three-day, two-night session provides all the excitement of traditional camp in a format designed specifically for first-time campers or those not quite ready for a full week away from home. Campers participate in age-appropriate activities including swimming in the pool, arts and crafts, STEM activities, outdoor exploration, and fun evening programs. The cabin setting provides a comfortable home base where campers can relax with their new friends and caring counselors. The schedule balances structured activities with free time, keeping younger campers engaged while also providing plenty of support. Counselors are specially trained to work with younger children and understand the unique needs of first-time campers. The program emphasizes building confidence, making friends, and developing independence in a safe, nurturing environment. This mini session is the perfect stepping stone to longer camp experiences, giving campers a taste of sleepaway camp while building their comfort with being away from home.
