These week-long camps offer young dancers ages 5-7 an immersive introduction to classical ballet through the lens of beloved fairytale ballets. Each camp focuses on a specific classical ballet, with students learning about the story, music, costumes, and scenery while participating in movement classes that emphasize creativity, coordination, and musicality. The camps provide a comprehensive introduction to ballet culture and performance, going beyond just movement to explore all aspects of a ballet production. Students will create their own version of these classic stories and share their work with parents in a special showing at the end of the week. Two different ballets are featured across the summer: Coppélia in June and Swan Lake in late July/early August. These camps are perfect for young children who love stories, music, and movement.
