Raccoon Rangers is an exciting out-of-school day camp for children in 2nd and 3rd grade. Treating each day as a new adventure, children will experience the seasonal changes at Maymont through fun, hands-on activities like science experiments, nature walks, playing in the active sculpture, looking at critters in the creek, and more. They will learn about plants and animals and how they survive. Another day, they may visit the historical stone barn and learn about Maymont's history as a home and a public space. Each day from 9am to 3pm, Maymont's experienced staff will lead students through engaging activities, games, and crafts, tailored by grade level. Each session will have two experienced adult educators with a 9:1 student/teacher ratio. Staff are trained in First Aid and CPR.
