Budding Biologists is a science-focused camp for rising 6th-8th grade students (ages 11-13) interested in learning more about wildlife and how scientists study animals. Campers meet and learn about animals, gain hands-on experience, use technology that wildlife biologists use in the field, and collect data from wildlife found at Maymont. They learn about how to participate in community science projects — both at Maymont and in their own backyard! This camp provides real-world experience with scientific methods, data collection, and wildlife research techniques. The camp takes place at The Robins Nature Center, providing access to animals and field research opportunities.
