This adult beginner's class is designed for people who have completed Level 1 or have basic sewing experience. Students will learn to work with commercial sewing patterns to create their own garments. The class covers reading pattern instructions, understanding fabric requirements, body measurements, and proper construction techniques. Taught by Ms. Peggy, an experienced instructor with a bachelor's degree in Clothing and Textiles. Students must complete the 'Using Sewing Patterns' prerequisite class before attending. You'll need to purchase and wash your fabric before the first class session. This is a hands-on learning environment where you'll gain confidence working with patterns and creating wearable projects.

Questions parents ask

What is the cancellation policy?: If you need to cancel for a class, you must give us at least one week's notice. If we are notified one week or before of the class start date then we will either reimburse you for your tuition or you can use your payment towards another class. If we are notified in less than a week's time then we will not be able to provide a refund.; Source: Adult Classes page
What if the class doesn't have enough students?: All group adult classes must have a minimum of 4 students to be held. You will be notified one week prior to the class start date if the class must be cancelled. Requirements

Ages 8-16 for children's classes
Prerequisite: Using Sewing Patterns Class required before Level 2 adult classes
Prerequisites: Levels 1, 2, 3 and 4 plus Using Sewing Patterns required for Level 5
Fabric must be purchased and washed before first class for Level 2
Sewing machine in good working order (for private lessons, if not using studio machines)
Background check certification for all instructors teaching children
