Students will discover the exciting world of digital animation using iPads and professional animation apps. This hands-on class teaches the fundamentals of animation including timing, movement, and storytelling through moving images. Young artists will learn to create frame-by-frame animations, explore different animation techniques, and develop their own animated characters and stories. The course covers basic animation principles like squash and stretch, anticipation, and follow-through in an age-appropriate way. Students will complete multiple animation projects throughout the session, from simple bouncing balls to more complex character animations. All iPads and software are provided by VisArts.
