K-5 Day Camp is rooted in the idea of summer as it used to be, offering days that are full, active, and balanced with time to create, explore, play outdoors, and build real friendships. Open to rising Kindergarten through rising 5th graders from across the Richmond community, this camp provides a dependable full-day structure with plenty of space to move and a rhythm that feels both intentional and relaxed. Campers are grouped in small cohorts led by consistent counselor pairs with low student-to-teacher ratios that support strong relationships and dependable care. Each group has its own homeroom serving as a familiar home base throughout the session. Mornings feature hands-on, themed sessions designed to spark curiosity and creativity, while afternoons shift into Summer Like It Used to Be with water play, field day games, large inflatables, arts and crafts, and open-ended outdoor play. Outdoor time is central to the experience, made possible by the expansive campus and direct access to Larus Park where campers move between playgrounds, the soccer field, open green spaces, and the park's trail system. Climbing on rocks, exploring near the creek, and spending long stretches outside adds energy and variety to each day. Campers also collaborate on a large-scale art installation for the campus designed in partnership with the school's Atelierista, creating a visible reflection of creativity, collaboration, and community built throughout the summer.
