Open Studio Sundays is a free, drop-in program offered the first Sunday of each month, inviting visitors of all ages to engage with art through hands-on creative activities. Each session features a different art-making activity inspired by an object from VMFA's permanent collection. Families, individuals, and groups can explore various art techniques and materials in a welcoming, no-pressure environment. Museum educators facilitate the activities and provide inspiration, but participants are free to interpret and create at their own pace. No registration required—just drop in during program hours and let your creativity flow! This is a wonderful opportunity to connect with art, try new techniques, and create something to take home. Perfect for families looking for a creative Sunday activity or anyone wanting to explore their artistic side.
