A microphone, spotlight, soft seating, and your notebook. Join us to work on your craft in a comfortable, supportive environment with constructive feedback from your peers. The Comedy Writer's Room is a bi-monthly workshop where aspiring comedians develop their material through collaborative writing sessions. Participants learn to shape personal experiences, observations, and cultural commentary into original stand-up material. Working comedians with deep ties to the Atlanta comedy scene provide guidance on joke structure, timing, stage presence, and the business of comedy. This is a space to take creative risks, test new material, and receive honest feedback in a judgment-free zone.
