James River Equestrian Center offers a limited number of private riding lessons for students who want more individualized attention and instruction. These one-hour private lessons provide focused, personalized coaching to help riders advance their skills in English hunt seat riding and competitive hunter disciplines. To be eligible for a private lesson, students must first take and pay for a group lesson each week, making private lessons an additional opportunity rather than a standalone program. The slots are limited and offered as available, ensuring that each student receives quality instruction time. Private lessons are ideal for riders preparing for shows, working on specific skills, or needing extra support to progress to the next level. The program maintains JREC's emphasis on sportsmanship and horsemanship while providing the individualized attention that can accelerate a rider's development.
