This engaging class introduces young artists to famous artists and diverse art movements through hands-on projects. Each week focuses on a different artist or art style, from Impressionism to Pop Art, from Van Gogh to Frida Kahlo. Students will learn about the artist's life, examine their work, and then create their own artwork inspired by that artist's techniques and style. The class covers a wide range of media including painting, drawing, collage, and sculpture, exposing students to various artistic approaches. This format keeps the class fresh and exciting while building art history knowledge and technical skills. Students develop an appreciation for different artistic styles and discover which approaches resonate with their own creative interests. Perfect for curious young artists who love variety and learning about the world through art.
