Camping is a core component of WinShape's overnight camp experiences, particularly featured in the Adventure Program (Elk Pack) at Mount Berry for campers who have completed 10th or 11th grade. Campers spend the majority of their two-week session outdoors, sleeping in tents or hammocks, and immersing themselves in wilderness living. This rigorous outdoor experience includes backpacking through North Georgia's beautiful mountain terrain, cooking meals over campfires, and filtering water from natural sources. Campers carry backpacks weighing 35-45 pounds while hiking up to 2 miles daily, developing physical stamina and self-reliance. The camping experience teaches essential outdoor skills, teamwork, and resilience while campers are disconnected from modern conveniences like restrooms and showers. It's designed for campers who love spending time outdoors and are ready for physically demanding activities that push their limits in a safe, supervised environment.
Parents provide transportation to and from Mount Berry campus for Spectacular Starting Sunday check-in and Chick-fil-A Friday Family Fun Day pickup.
