Pony Pals Mini is a specially designed three-day, two-night program that introduces younger Girl Scouts in grades 2-4 to the wonderful world of horses and horseback riding. This shortened session combines all the fun of Classic Mini Camp with introductory horseback riding lessons, creating the perfect first equestrian experience for younger campers. The program is carefully structured to be age-appropriate and non-intimidating for children new to horses. Campers learn basic horse care, barn safety, and proper handling techniques before progressing to short riding lessons. The riding instruction focuses on building confidence and comfort around horses while teaching fundamental riding skills. Between riding activities, campers participate in traditional camp activities including swimming, arts and crafts, outdoor exploration, and evening programs. The three-day format is ideal for younger children, providing enough time to experience horseback riding without being overwhelming. Caring counselors and certified riding instructors work together to ensure each camper feels safe, supported, and excited about their equestrian adventure. Pony Pals Mini is the perfect introduction to both sleepaway camp and horseback riding!
