Spend a focused day exploring memoir writing in this intensive one-day workshop. Participants will learn techniques for selecting meaningful moments from life experience, crafting scenes, developing voice, and structuring memoir. Through writing exercises, discussion, and sharing, students will generate new material and gain tools to continue their memoir projects. The workshop covers the difference between memoir and autobiography, finding the story in experience, and writing with honesty and craft. Perfect for those considering a memoir project or wanting to jumpstart existing work. All experience levels welcome.
