This limited offering class provides high school students with an in-depth exploration of color theory through the medium of oil painting. Students will learn to understand how colors interact, mix, and create mood in artwork. Working in VisArts' professional painting studio alongside working artists, teens will develop their technical skills with oil paints while building a personal portfolio. The class covers color mixing, value, saturation, and temperature, as well as proper oil painting techniques and studio practices. All levels are welcome, making this perfect for both beginners and those looking to refine their skills.
