This playful and exploratory painting class encourages young artists to experiment with different painting techniques, tools, and materials. Students will move beyond traditional brushwork to discover unconventional painting methods including sponge painting, splatter techniques, palette knife work, and mixed media approaches. Each week introduces new materials and methods, from watercolors and acrylics to collage elements and texture-building. The class emphasizes creative exploration and personal expression rather than realistic representation, helping young students develop confidence in their artistic choices. Projects range from abstract compositions to imaginative scenes, with plenty of opportunities for students to follow their own creative interests. This class is perfect for young artists who love to experiment and aren't afraid to get messy.
