Jr. Paleontologist takes grades 1-3 students on an exciting journey back in time to explore dinosaurs, fossils, and prehistoric life. Young paleontologists will learn about different dinosaur species, fossil formation, excavation techniques, and what life was like millions of years ago. Campers will participate in mock fossil digs, create their own fossils, build dinosaur models, and learn how scientists study ancient life. Each day features hands-on activities including excavating fossils from dig sites, identifying dinosaur bones, creating fossil casts, and exploring geological time periods. Students will learn about herbivores and carnivores, dinosaur habitats, extinction events, and how fossils provide clues about the past. Activities include building dinosaur skeletons, creating prehistoric dioramas, making amber specimens, and participating in paleontology challenges. The week culminates in a museum showcase where campers display their discoveries and present their knowledge. This camp combines science, history, and hands-on exploration for dinosaur enthusiasts.
