Our Winter Scrimmages are designed as the next step for athletes who have completed at least one session of GO Hockey, Next Level, or an equivalent. Players must already demonstrate core field hockey skills including proper stick grip, correct use of the stick's flat side, dribbling and passing, avoiding intentional feet, and have knowledge of safe play. This 5th-7th grade division plays 7v7 format (including goalie) with standard field hockey ball and goals. Sessions run for 1.5 hours and begin with a 30-minute warm-up/instruction/skills clinic followed by four 12-minute quarters of play. Games are officiated by certified umpires and corners are played, providing a more advanced competitive experience. Teams change weekly. Limited to 20 players.
