Jr. Space Explorer takes grades 1-3 students on an exciting journey through space and astronomy. Young astronauts will explore planets, stars, rockets, space exploration, and the science behind space travel through hands-on activities and experiments. Campers will build and launch rockets, create planet models, learn about the solar system, design space stations, and discover what it takes to be an astronaut. Each day features engaging activities that combine science, engineering, and creativity. Students will learn about gravity, orbits, the moon phases, constellations, and space technology through interactive demonstrations and projects. Activities include building rocket launchers, creating constellation viewers, making moon craters, designing Mars rovers, and simulating space missions. The week includes outdoor rocket launches and culminates in a space show where campers demonstrate their knowledge and showcase their projects. This comprehensive camp makes space science accessible and exciting while building STEM skills.
