The Blast is the perfect camp for older campers (ages 11-15) who want to plan their own camp days and have a wicked good time without the structure of skill progression programs. This high-energy week is all about fun, featuring the wet zip-line, river swims, rope swing, 350-foot zip-line, and exploring the sweetest spots in the James River Park System. The camp is ideal for those who want a break from Rock and River Master Program skill building while still experiencing outdoor adventure. With tremendous flexibility, The Blast crafts each day's activities around consensus built among campers and staff, putting great energy into developing group cohesion and a can-do atmosphere. This camp won't make you a stronger climber or kayaker, but it will make you fall asleep every night with a great big smile on your face. Many campers think of it as a wicked-fun vacation. The program emphasizes people skills, teamwork, and pure enjoyment of outdoor adventure.
