Wild Wonderful Watercolor is a specialized art camp taught by professional artist Doug Mock, designed for middle and high school students interested in exploring watercolor painting techniques. This afternoon program introduces students to the unique properties of watercolor as a medium, teaching fundamental and advanced techniques for creating beautiful, expressive paintings. Students will learn about color theory, composition, brush techniques, wet-on-wet and wet-on-dry methods, layering and glazing, creating textures and effects, and painting various subjects including landscapes, still life, and abstract designs. Doug Mock brings his professional expertise and passion for watercolor to create an inspiring, supportive learning environment. Students will complete multiple paintings throughout the week, experimenting with different styles and techniques. The camp emphasizes both technical skill development and creative expression, encouraging students to find their own artistic voice. All materials are provided, and no prior watercolor experience is required. This camp is perfect for students who love art, want to learn a new medium, or are interested in developing their painting skills.
