Atlanta United's Regional Development School (RDS) is a tryout-based program focused on high-level training to push and challenge advanced players ages 7-14 (girls up to age 16). RDS is supplemental to a player's current training environment, providing additional small group training opportunities. Players who are accepted into the RDS program are given the opportunity to take ownership of their own development and work on technical areas of the game with Atlanta United's professionally licensed coaches. The curriculum is designed around the development of competitive and advanced level soccer players. RDS operates seasonally with weekly 90-minute training sessions (Fall: 8 weeks, Winter I: 6 weeks, Winter II: 6 weeks, Spring: 8 weeks). The program is located in various locations surrounding the Metro Atlanta area. All players must try out each season regardless of previous participation to ensure a continuously competitive training environment. Players can reserve an RDS tryout spot with a $25 credit card hold, with the remaining balance processed automatically upon acceptance. Select locations include dedicated goalkeeper training.
