Art Foundations is the intermediate level of Art Academy, designed for children ages 8-12 who are ready for more advanced art concepts and techniques. This comprehensive program builds on fundamental skills while introducing more complex artistic methods and media. Each five-week session focuses on a specific art movement, concept, or technique, with students earning buttons for their class apron as they master new skills. The curriculum challenges students to think critically about art while developing technical proficiency. Projects are more detailed and sophisticated, appropriate for this age group's developing abilities. Students explore art history, famous artists, and various styles while creating their own original works. The scout-style progression system motivates students to advance through different levels. Multiple session times available including morning options for homeschool families.
