That's Gross! is a full-day camp for rising 2nd and 3rd grade students (ages 7-8) that explores the less glamorous but fascinating aspects of nature. It's not all rainbows and butterflies in the wild! Campers check out the stinky, the slimy, and even the creepy to discover the icky side of nature that helps both plants and animals survive. Through hands-on activities, experiments, and animal encounters, children learn about decomposition, predator-prey relationships, defense mechanisms, and other "gross" but essential natural processes. The camp takes place at The Robins Nature Center, providing access to live animals and exhibits that showcase nature's more unusual survival strategies.
