Dive into the fascinating world of encaustic painting in this hands-on one-day workshop. Encaustic, one of the oldest painting techniques, uses heated beeswax mixed with colored pigments. Students will learn safety procedures, heating techniques, layering, and how to incorporate mixed media elements. The workshop covers creating texture, transparency effects, and finishing techniques. Participants will create multiple small works exploring different encaustic methods. This unique medium offers endless creative possibilities. No prior experience necessary.
