This new limited offering class introduces teens to the art of needle felting through the creation of pop culture characters and icons. Students will learn to transform wool roving into three-dimensional sculptures using specialized felting needles. The class covers basic needle felting techniques including shaping, adding details, and color blending to create recognizable characters from movies, games, anime, and other pop culture sources. Each student will design and create their own character sculptures, learning to work from reference images and translate 2D designs into 3D forms. The course emphasizes both technical skill development and creative interpretation. This is a relaxing yet engaging craft that produces impressive results, perfect for teens who want to create handmade versions of their favorite characters.
