Crazy Contraptions is a brand new engineering camp for grades 4-7 that challenges students to design and build elaborate chain-reaction machines and inventive devices. Young engineers will explore principles of physics, mechanics, and engineering as they create Rube Goldberg machines, catapults, bridges, and other creative contraptions. Campers will learn about simple machines, energy transfer, structural design, and problem-solving through hands-on building challenges. Each day features design challenges that require creativity, collaboration, and critical thinking. Students will work with various materials including cardboard, wood, motors, and recycled items to bring their inventions to life. The week includes team competitions, individual projects, and a final showcase where campers demonstrate their most impressive contraptions. This camp develops engineering skills, spatial reasoning, and innovative thinking while having tons of fun building wild and wacky machines.
