Tidewater Recreational GO Hockey is an introduction to field hockey or an opportunity to play hockey as an extra-curricular activity. While on a club field hockey team your child would train to play 11v11 with standard field hockey equipment, Tidewater Rec will play GO Hockey (4v4) focusing on introducing a sport, getting in lots of touches, and burning energy on a smaller field. At Tidewater Rec GO Hockey we will use a larger, softer ball and minimal equipment (think PE class!) to include all those interested in giving hockey a go for the first time. Sessions are held outdoors on Sundays and include age-appropriate instruction, skills development, and scrimmage play. The program is designed to be fun, inclusive, and accessible to all skill levels.
